Fountain Park Recreation Centre provides aquatic programs, drop-in swim, and fitness times. The facility consists of 3 pools, a multi-purpose court, meeting rooms, and a children's playground. It is a great spot to take the family.

Enjoy fun in the sun at Grosvenor Outdoor Pool! This outdoor facility hosts a large leisure pool and deep-diving tank for those wanting to stay cool while keeping active in the summer. It's the perfect place for a poolside picnic and is a great option for those just wanting to lay back and enjoy the sunshine!
Plan your visit by checking out their daily public and lane swim times. There are Saturday and Sunday rental opportunities for birthday parties and other celebrations. Advanced Leadership and Lifesaving Society programs are also held at the pool.

Woodlands Water Play Park

The Woodlands Water Play Park is a great spot to cool down during the hot summer days. The park is divided into three different areas, making it a perfect destination for families and children of all ages.
There is also a multi-level playground located on-site for those who want to stay dry! Beneath the playground lies a spongy, rubbery surface that is safe and non-slippery for children.
The Woodlands Water Play Park is located at the intersection of Boudreau Road and Sturgeon Road. Parking is available from Sturgeon Road. Woodlands Water Play Park is free of charge.

Jarome Iginla & Kinex Arenas

The Jarome Iginla & Kinex Arenas were founded in 1982 and offer indoor rink ice surfaces which are open year-round, making them great venues for public skating, figure skating, ice hockey, ball hockey, roller hockey and lacrosse. The facility also includes a Skybox Cafe, where you can enjoy a coffee or snack.
The Recreation & Parks Department has a dedicated crew of staff who maintain these surfaces and keep them safe for the public to enjoy.
The arenas also play host to the Jenkins Family Tim Hortons Sponsored Public Skates, Parent and Tot Skate and Preschool Stick and Puck.

Servus Credit Union Place has many programs for children, youth, and adults from fitness services to summer camps.
St. Albert Curling Club
The St. Albert Curling Club is located at 3 Tache Street in St. Albert, Alberta.
The St. Albert Curling Club is a not for profit recreational/banquet facility. Their mission statement is simple: To create a great atmosphere for our 800 members to come and curl and to host memorable events for companies or families in their beautiful upstairs banquet room.
During the curling season, SACC offers ice rental options for curling practice, corporate team building functions and Funspiels. During the off season, SACC arena offers a unique space for concerts, trade shows and larger events. They are home to two of the International Children’s Festival of the Arts stages each year.
Ball Diamonds
St. Albert has 26 public baseball and softball diamonds located throughout the city. Diamonds are available for spontaneous use between 5 a.m. - 11 p.m., when not rented or programmed, as identified in the Parks Bylaw.
In addition, there is the Legion Memorial Ball Park on Sturgeon Road and the Meadowview Ball Park on Meadowview Drive. These fields are often used for tournaments and championships. These ball diamonds are maintained by local associations and are not part of the City of St. Albert sports fields.
Cross-country Skiing Trails
The cross-country ski trails are a collaboration between the City of St. Albert and the St. Albert Nordic Ski Club. During the winter season, the St. Albert Nordic Ski Club grooms the trails around the Kingswood Park Day-Use Area and the Riverlot 56 Natural Area. These trails can be used for classic skiing and skate skiing.
Fowler Athletic Park

This refurbished track is the ideal spot to practice track and field events: long jump, high jump, hammer throw, and discus throw. The track is the perfect location for runners training for short or long-distance events, or the everyday individual looking to get active.
Fowler Athletic Park is a municipal facility that is often used by local schools for track and field events, local organizations, and the general public. It is also home to the St. Albert Track and Field Club.
When not rented or programmed, the park is available for use from 5 am to 11 pm as identified in the Parks Bylaw.
Outdoor Rinks
Outdoor rinks are located throughout the city in many different neighbourhoods. Some ice surfaces are designated for hockey while others are kept as social surfaces for skating. Some rinks also come equipped with change rooms.
All outdoor rinks and ice surfaces are seasonal and remain closed during the spring and summer months due to the warmer temperatures. During the closure, residents and visitors are encouraged to stay off of the river, lakes, and ponds as they are unsafe. Please check with Public Works if you are unsure as to whether a rink or ice surface is safe to use.

There are 18 tennis courts and 18 Pickleball courts open to the community. Both courts can be found throughout the city.
There are modifications to use required for reopening.
The Mission tennis site located at 9A Mission Avenue gives priority to the St. Albert Tennis Club from April to October. All other courts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Riel Recreation Park

The Riel Recreation Park includes a rugby facility, a soccer facility, and a multi-purpose artificial field. The park receives many visitors a year. Visitors can utilize the upgraded RV campground, attend the annual Rainmaker Rodeo, or use the banquet facility.

Woodlands Skatepark
The Woodlands Skatepark is a perfect hangout for those who enjoy trying new tricks. The Skate Park has a variety of slopes and ramps, perfect for keeping everyone entertained. The concrete surface is great for the recreational use of skateboards, inline skates, scooters, and bicycles. Woodlands Skatepark is free of charge.
Located next to the Woodlands Water Play Park at the intersection of Boudreau Road and Sturgeon Road. Access and parking are available from Sturgeon Road.
